I have an Asus laptop with Windows 8.1 X64 System,
since i got it i installed Alfa '' AWUS036H'' wireless adapter and it was working just fine,
But few months ago i deleted something by mistake and since then the alfa adapter isn't working any more..
i've tried every thing i could to fix it but i keep failing so far,
now when i connect the adapter to the usb port it keeps turning it self on and off and the usb drive mark on the tool bar keeps flashing till i remove it again,

can any one please help me fixing this?
Regards

well go to the website of the usb wifi adapter and download the latest driver/software..

uninstall the anything you see related to the usb wifi adapter.. like in your "programs and features" .. uninstall the wifi adapter drivers..

then restart your computer.. take out your usb adapter.. restart..

then leave your usb adapter unplugged and then run ccleaner if you have it and registry clean.. and then install the software/driver you downloaded from your maker of the usb wifi adapter.. then plug in your usb wifi adapter..

start with that.. thats a rough way to do it..

did you try connecting it to any other computer and see if it does the same..

obviously it is broken if it still does that on a friends computer or another laptop you have..

try that then report back soldier.

you absolutely must have changed something before this started.. can you remember anything you installed/changed around when this started..

because if it works completely normal in another computer.(did you actually get online with it.??)

then that means you have a setting in windows that is majorly conflicting with it..

and yes if you still have trouble with this.. maybe buy a cheap another wifi usb?? or save all your files that you really want and then clean reinstall windows and see if it detects it correctly then?

maybe try auslogics boostspeed 7.. I think they have a conflict finder in that program..
