All devices connect to router except Windows 8.1 Laptop
Just recently my Lenovo laptop w/Windows 8.1 will not connect to my Vizio wireless router but it was fine a few months ago. This laptop will connect to my AT&T modem/router.
All my other wifi devices connect to both routers. The only one that does not is the Lenovo laptop with Windows 8.1. I suspect the last windows update screw up my connection. My laptop will connect to Vizio router wired. Every time Microsoft updates I get problems.
Vizio router is xwr100. Any suggestions?

If you are using both the Vizio router and Att gateway, you would need to place the Vizio behind the Att gateway in a DMS Plus zone

The Vizio router is connected to the ATT router as it has been for a year. It has worked fine until recently. I think it may be security settings or other settings in Windows 8.1

especially if it worked before with the same laptop and now all the sudden you can't connect..
so unless there was an update to the routers.. something has changed somewhere..
did anyone else you the computer.. has the passwords been changed on the router etc..

I use a fritz!box as router and there is a setting in the wlan tap, where i can allow only known devices. Perhaps there is something similar in your router.
you definitely changed something.. you need to remember what you changed and tell us so anybody can help you fix it..
it doens't work one day and the next day not work.. unless a hardware fails or an update happened that you didin't know about..
