I recently moved to a new apartment where I share an internet connection. Since I got here, I've been having repeated 'limited connectivity' errors on my WiFi connection. Whenever I get these errors, the troubleshooter 'fixes' the problem after resetting the adapter, but it continually comes back -- even more frequently when downloading or streaming something.
I've tried everything I can think of:
- Relocated the modem/router thinking there may be an issue of location
- Reset the router several times
- Updated the driver for the wireless adapter
- Changed the power settings for the computer
- Tweaked the wireless properties by enabling/disabling ipV6
- Reset winsock through command prompt
I have the Realtek PCle GBE Family Controller and running Windows 8 Pro. I really don't know what else to try. My tablet runs off the same connection just fine, but I simply cannot stay connected. Literally, there are times when I lose connectivity once every couple minutes, where other times it might go a couple hours. Thanks in advance for any assistance you folks can give!
