Windows 8.1 DNS Problem

Hi guys,

Been directed to this forum many a time to help solve various issues I was having, but this time I signed up as I'm stumped by what's happening with my computer.

Every time I boot up my laptop (Toshiba Satellite C660-R), I have issues connecting to the internet over WiFi due to DNS problems. And when it does connect, I'm lucky to get 10 minutes out of it!

I have tried several fixes, including:

My ISP is UPC Ireland, and I have been on to the phone to them numerous times to try get my issue sorted. They have sent out 'engineers' several time to help resolve my problem, but there everything seems to be fine on their side.
I am using a Technicolour router, and have it set up in Bridge mode, connected to a Netgear router. I have tried to solve my problem by using the Technicolor router on it's own, but it still arises.
I have changed the DNS to the Google DNS on both my laptop, and my routers.
I have flushed the DNS and reset it using Cmd Promt.
I have tried several settings in my Anti-Virus and firewall to see if they were causing the issue, but they weren't.

Basically I have tried every fix on this forum and am in desperate need of help!



**NOTE**
My sister's laptop has no issues connecting to the WiFi.
My mother's, sister's, girlfriend's and my own phone have no issue connecting to the internet.

My laptop was originally running Windows 7 Pro, and I upgraded it over 2 months ago to Windows 8.1. The issue started about 1 month ago.

Have you also tried disabling DNS caching completely?
