How will I make my internet connection work normaly?

Hey guys!
Im not so good with computers, and I could really use all the help with my problem.

I keep disconnecting every 3-4 minutes, but only for some seconds.
the internet icon always keeps showing that I have internet.
I tryed using an other cable but it the problem is still there.
It is not a problem that the whole dorm got (when I play some online games with my friends, the internet works perfectly for them). Because I live in this studentblock I cant controll the modem/rauter, so I cant restart it and hope for it to fix.
this have been going on for a week now without any sign of it getting better.
Is there any good soul that can help me?

If you are not using an external USB Wifi adapter. Try using the Netgear A6200. My son uses that one at his dorm and gets better reception with the Access Points, vs. the onboard wifi for his laptop.

I cant use wifi here. the only way is through cable :/

Since this is a Dorm room issue, you need to be talking to school IT because of the issue.
