Yes, no problem. HP lists multiple wireless adapter possibilities for your model. So you need to tell us two pieces of information.

1) Are you using 32 or 64 bit Windows?

2) Open Device Manager. Right click on your wireless adapter. Choose Properties then go to Details tab. Change the dropdown to say Hardware Ids. Copy/paste results here. (Please do not use a screenshot instead of copy/paste.)

Ctrl+A = selects all info
Ctrl+C = copy
Ctrl+V = paste

And welcome to here.

I have a HP Touchsmart 300 1125sc. The Wireless Connection worked ok with Win8 consumer preview. After installing Release preview, my network is no longer listed in contrast to some of my neighbors networks. On my Laptop, my network is detected and listed, and there are no connection problems. I have tried to reinstall the driver, but Win8 insists that the best driver is already installed. I have pulled the plug of my Wireless router for some minutes without solving the problem.
My network adapter is a 802.11b/g/n card, listed by the Device manager as a 802.11n card (guess that is ok). My router is a Dlink Dir 655. I am using 64 bit Win8
Here are my hardware Ids:
PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3092&SUBSYS_001515A9&REV_00

PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3092&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3092&CC_0280

I would be grateful for any help

I have the same router as you, works great for me.

You should try downloading the latest driver from HP for your machine, uninstall if you are already using the latest driver for your wireless NIC then reinstall the driver by right clicking and choosing to install in compatibility mode for Windows 7. Choose the manual install method which will bring up a list of choices, choose to install in Window 7 mode. Go with WPA-2 and AES encryption.

That usually works for me for just about any Windows 7 driver as there aren't many Windows 8 drivers out yet.

Thank you for a quick response.
I have downloaded the latest driver which comes in the form of an exe-file (sp44652.exe). When I right-click it, the only option is to run the troubleshooter. Later in the process I am askd which earlier Version of Windows it worked in. I have tried both Windows 7 and Windows XP (service pack 3), but the installation stops, reporting "Your system does not meet the operation system reguirements. Update has been cancelled. (9998)"
The funny thing is that I can see one or two of my neighbor's Networks, so the Wireless adapter is working. My own network is not visible, and I cannot Connect to it even if I manually set it up with the correct network name, Security type, encrytion type and password.

Any more ideas?

It seems strange that it can see your neighbors WIFI signals but not your own.

I'm sure you have the SSID broadcast turned on in the router's settings but besides that I'm not sure why you can't see your own WIFI. It must be a driver problem which is to be expected I guess.

Yes, it is very strange. I can see my SSID on my Galaxy phone, my Transformer tablet and on my Acer Laptop, but not on my Touchsmart with the latest Version of Win8. With the Developers and consumer previews there were no problems.
I had Cisco Network Magic installed of a couple of my other computers, and I decided to give it a try on the Touchsmart/win8 machine. My SSID was still hidden, but by going for hidden Networks and typing in the SSID and the Security key, IT WORKED.
However, the Connection is unstable. I am into my third try now. During the two first, the machine disconnected after about 30 Seconds and 10 minutes. I don't know what that means. Maybe it is a driver problem. The router places my SSID on channel 13. One of my previous computers accepted channels 1-11 only, but I doupt that is the problem now. I think it worked ok on channel 13 with the previous win8 Versions, but since my router may choose other channels during restarts, I am not quite sure.
Now, as I Write, the Connection goes off and on. I am betting on a driver update

For channel problems you can use software like Xirrus WIFI inspector to help you find the best channel.

You would need to turn off the auto channel scan in your router and then choose a channel based on what Xirrus show you.

Here in the states using the 2.4Ghz frequency we are limited to channels 1-11.

For those of you who are having trouble getting your Netgear wna1100 wireless adapter to work, Simply go to the Netgear website - Global Download Center - search for your Product Name/Model Number and it will look for what you need which would be wna1100 - win8 beta driver and click it. Next a windows will popup with a download button, click that, After that you will come to another screen. Scroll down and click continue without registering. It will start the download process. Once after you have downloaded your driver and extracted it, I would place the folder on your desktop. Believe me, I wen't through the same thing when I was trying to figure this out too. Anyway, Uninstall your Netgear wna1100 wireless adapter then re install. Before it asks you to use push and connect or connect on it's own, go to control panel, system then device manager. From there...click on network adapters and look for your netgear wireless adapter. Right click then go to update driver software. Next click browse my computer for driver software. Next you will click browse so you can locate you driver folder. Once after you do all that, you will be good to go. Hope I was any help. Like I said, I had to do the same thing because I have the same adapter. I'm new to this forum but I saw that someone else was having the same issue...So I figured I would give them a helping hand.
