Create second wireless network

My friend has a switch connected to his modem. There are about 6 computers on the switch, and those computers share files and printers. He also has a wireless router connected to the switch, it creates its own network that does not have access to the files that are shared on his main network, and he wants it that way.

But now he wants to set up a second additional wireless network that does have access to the shared files. He is planning on buying a second router. How can we connect the second router so that it will have access to the shared files in his main network?

He would need to use another router to segregate the LAN's from each other. Or use a Router that allows for the use of VLAN's.

I would say that if you think this info would be found in a router manual, that you did not understand the situation I was describing. But I found the info I needed elsewhere, so thanks anyway.
