Solved Is it possible to redirect dns queries?

Absolutely it's possible, but you'll need to be a bit more specific as to what you're trying to do because options range anywhere from a simple hosts file edit to more complex options like setting up your own DNS server.

That depends on if we're talking about you running your own DNS server or if you just want to try and route all DNS related traffic over a different port. The former is probably pretty simple and done via a config option on the server software. The latter... The latter is not a DNS reroute, but a TCP/IP port rerouting. It gets deep into TCP/IP networking and for most people, it may as well be impossible. Maybe someone can come up with a different method, but the only one I can come up with involves an intermediary which will handle the port translation. You also can't just say that you want to connect to someone else's DNS server on port 5353 if it's set up to listen on port 53. The best you could do is say that traffic coming in to your system on port 53 gets rerouted to port 5353 or going out from your system on 5353 gets redirected back to port 53.

Odds are I just told you what you want to do is impossible, but if not you're probably going to need to find someone who is really good with networking to set this all up for you and they won't likely work cheap. If you had a friend who was good with this sort of thing, you probably wouldn't be asking about it here, would you?
