Issue logging into wifi with authorization key

I've recently purchased the surface pro 3 which is awesome, but it won't allow me to log into my colleges wifi. My Surface pro 2 would allow me to do this. My school is set up so that I have to generate an access key that is associated with my user name. What is supposed to happen is when I click on the wifi connection to connect, a screen should pop up asking me to enter my user name and access key (see attached photo for the screen I should be seeing). Can someone help with this? I'm sure there's some setting to tweak to make it work..
