The “Network Service” disappears after being shared with,

I wanted to share the “Network Service” with a folder to have read and write permissions but it seems that it disappears after being added and given the permission.

What might be the issue here?

Thank you

Best

Jamal

You are showing & asking about two different things. The Sharing with people on your network, is for sharing on the computer. If you just choose "Share" vs. Advanced Sharing. You will be able to choose to share with or without password protection. See http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/9990-file-sharing-share-stop-sharing-windows-8-a.html

Thanks broe23,

The issue here is that I need to share the folder with the “Network Service”. The folder is shared with the “Network Service”. But the issue here is that the “Network Service” disappears from the list.

Please, try it at your machine to find out the issue

Temp is one of those folders that are not supposed to be shared. That could be why it is going bye-bye. It would be kind of hard, since I do not run Windows on my laptop, as it states in my profile. But Temp has always disappeared if it was shared, with every Windows OS out there.

Thanks broe23,

I tried it with other folder (H1) but it keeps with same behavior.

Have you tried it yourself?
