Hey,

Windows 8.1, Broadcom 802.11n network card&driver,

My computer stopped recognizing the wireless networks at my university - oddly enough, some other networks elsewhere can be found (although I cannot test if I can actually connect to them, since they are passworded/not mine).

I followed the 3 steps of http://www.eightforums.com/network-sharing/26581-network-posting-tips.html

Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector showed nothing: Connection - Broadcom 802.11n network card - NA, everything under Wireless and Addresses also NA. No networks.

Any bright ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

EDIT: forgot to add that my home adsl modem works.

Have you tried working with your campus IT group? I would go to them. That is what they are there for. Schools have been known to block users computers, if they are infected, use up a lot of bandwidth (ie Torrents/P2P), or if you have to have the IT group set your unit up on the network, so they can track who is on the network, that is a student.
