I just got a Windows 8 laptop for work, and my SSID does not display. If I change the channel on my router (a Dlink DIR-645) from its current channel to something different, it will show up; I can then connect and use the internet without trouble until shut down/sleep mode, then the problem comes back.
I have restarted the modem and router after switching channels, I have changed channels from 1-8 and it works the same way every time. What am I missing? Firmware is up to date on the router. Let me know what other information I can provide.
This only happens on my home network - wireless at work is functioning properly. My home network also has multiple devices (tablets, macbook, chromebook, laptop) that all play nicely on the network together.
