Something is terribly wrong. I work on my computer... all of a sudden I can't get any sites to open. I have to reboot. I've had to reboot twice today already. I know it isn't my Internet provider because my laptop works fine. I'm using 8.1 I did a Control Alt Delete and sometimes it shows IE running but I close it. Nothing will open until I reboot. Is something sticking or something. I did a virus check and it came out OK.

Dou you have a Restore Point from before this started? If so I would try that. Otherwise I'd try a complete scan with MBAM.

I can't get on any Internet site with any of my browsers so I don't think the problem is with IE. As for the system file scan... it tells me it can't scan because I'm not an administrator. It's my computer so I have no clue who the administrator would be.

I downloaded House Call and ran a scan and it showed no malware... no virus. It's like something is not shutting down when I close it... but if I do a reboot it's off. Just my feeling of the problem. I will do a restore but I think it is something that has to do with me putting up pictures on Find a Grave working from PSP7, to clip them, and uploading one picture after another. I did 100 photos yesterday. Do you think that has anything to do with the problem?

At first I thought Facebook was down because the message I got was: This site cannot be opened at this time. Or something like that.

Oh, maybe that was the problem. I have to do some more tombstones tonight so I'll see if I have that problem again. Also, I have to sign in every time I come here... never had to do that before. It is my browser or this site?

Usually the site logs you off when you close your browser but not always

I had this same issue for a week or so mostly on my notebook, then it started on my play around with work station. I solved it by unplugging my Router and rebooting my Cable modem the starting my router again. Problem solved. I don't know if it was the modem or the Router.

I'll have to check my cookie settings. Ah I had it set to clean history when exiting IE. I thought it would just erase history and not cookies. I unchecked it.
