Problem connecting to router

My internet connection used to only drop out once in several months if that. It has now started happening at least once an hour. I have a wireless router but connect to it via powerline adapters. We have 3 other computers and a couple of phones all connecting to the internet visa the router with no problems, so the trouble seems to lie with my PC.

When I lose the connection I try right clicking on the PC (with yellow exclamation mark) in the notification area, but this has no effect. If I try restarting the computer it won't restart it hangs on restarting. If I hold the power switch in to shut off the PC then after it has restarted (still with n o connection) if I then run the trouble shooter it then gives me an option to carry out repairsd as administrator and this finally gets me connected.

Is iut a dodgy Ethernet adapter? (broadlink gigabit - cant find any drivers online anywhere)

Since you are using Powerline adapaters for ethernet connections. That right there is what you need to eliminate. Run Cat-5e drops from where the router is, to where the computers are. You most likely will find that after the Powerline adapters are out of the system. Everything will work fine.
