Hey all,

So Right now my wifi network shows as "Wireless_Home_Network 5"

I don't have any other wifi networks saved.

How do I get rid of the "5"?

I changed routers several times which is why I'm at "5", but the SSID and password were always the same, I don't know where this "5" is coming from?

Under my network profile it says "Wireless_Home_Network". So again, I don't know where the "5" is coming from?

Thanks,

-TheChad

Number 3 always works for me Brink. As for why and where the 5 is coming from for the OP. It is due to Windows has now 5 profiles for that same adapter. I do not know why it is happening, but it is a PITA, due to because it happens.

They messed something up with the Wireless section of the coding. In that if you click on the wireless icon before logging in, it creates a whole new wireless profile in the registry. Windows 7 never did that. But of course with 8.x, we are finding all kinds of glorious problems that the coders put in there.

I doubt that Update 1 will fix this problem. But of course we will have to wait until April to find out.
