If your modem has wireless capabilities the Ethernet should find the wireless printer anyway due to it being on the network.

Lets make it simple. You have your computer connected to the router by a physical cable. Your router also has the capability of doing Wireless networking. So as long as your printer is on, is a device seen by the router as a wireless device, just as if it was a tablet, smartphone, or another computer, your mother or you will be able to print to it.

Both computers need to have the software or drivers installed for the printer though, so that they can print to the printer. During the setup of the printer software, it should have asked if the printer was connected via USB or Wireless Network. If you chose Wireless, then you should be able to print to it whether you are connected via Ethernet, or Wireless.

All the router cares, is if the printer has an IP, knows how to connect to the router when it is on, so that the router can tell clients that it is on or off. The router does not care if computers are wireless or wired. It just cares if you are able to connect to it, so you can either communicate between units on the LAN, or communicate with the Internet.

I'll leave this here anyway

You need to explain yourself allot better.

If your printer is wireless then it should be registered with the modem. Obviously its a wireless modem because your mother is connected wireless. Have you read the printer documentation? If you check the setup documentation it should explain quite easily.

. If its a wireless printer and it is connected to your modem via "WiFi" the printer is on the network
. If the printer is connected to your modem and it is on the network and its the same modem you connect to via Ethernet, then the printer is on your network.
. If you want to connect to your modem via Ethernet and still connect your printer via WiFi (Although I don't understand why) make sure your computers WiFi is on, run the printer software and setup the printer properly

or

. If you go to "Printers and Devices" on your PC, even without running the printer software, you should be able to "add a printer" connect to a "Network" printer as long as it is turned on when you search for network printers and your PC WiFi is on.

Turn on your PC WiFi
Go to control panel and search for "Devices and Printers"
Click on Devices and printers and follow the prompts. If the printer isn't too old them Windows will offer to find the drivers for you.

If you explained this a little better I could probably help better. What is the printer?
