SkyDrive - Why (and how to get rid of) mult SkyDrv Folders

    Here's my next SkyDrive question:

If I go into the C:\USERS\Jim\ folder on the Win8.1Pro laptop I see that there are several SkyDrive folders (SkyDrive, SkyDrive, SkyDrive (2).old, SkyDrive (3).old, etc.).

How do I get rid of these and make a fresh start?

Thanks for all the great info - this is great,

    Hello Jim,

Double check using OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to make sure that the SkyDrive folder is properly set to it's default "C:\Users\Jim\SkyDrive" location.

If everything checks out, then you should be able to safely delete the duplicates.

    Hope this helps,

You're welcome. Be sure to double check to make sure that there's nothing in them you want before deleting though.

Yep. It looks like they're dup's or partial portions of what should be there.

Would it be safe to uninstall / re-install? This is on the latest machine added to the mix. I would really like to get a clean start and nothing new has been added from here that is not in the cloud or on the local drive of my main (Win7Pro) machine.

Sure you could reinstall Windows if you like, but doing the above should take of it for you if you wanted to avoid reinstalling.
