Cannot connect to ad-hoc
I Installed WDP on my aspire 4551
want to connect to ad-hoc wifi connection by notebook with W Vista
but the status always show "Limited"
Everything work with W7
i am able to connect with LAN cable but no ad-hoc wifi
my attemp :
1. install the driver (atheros AR5B93)
2. Diagnose it
3. The Result :

MadeOke, YOU'RE gonna love this. Same problem, to correct it (daily) I start my msn messenger. I basically think it is a quirk in AdHoc
networking, that should be resolved with the 1st beta.

Right, it is a connection to the internet using a go between computer. I'm using Windows 8DP, for my server (Hardwired connection)and Belkin USB Adapter for my PC that doesn't have built in wireless. Shouldn't be a problem. as long as you used the settings supplied with your Wireless NiC. BUT!! You do need a PoP (Point of Presence) and NOT an email POP (Post Office Protocol) In my case my laptop has built-in wireless. Now on your hard wired computer, just make sure to turn on wireless services in control panel.
