I was running a port scan, and every port was blocked besides port 25 which said closed, Screenshot: Screenshot by Lightshot

Is that a good or bad thing?

Port 25 is the common port used by SMTP email servers. If you do not run an email server then it should be blocked. Malware can use this port to send email from your computer, zombie fashion.

You should investigate why this comes up. Is the port scan you are running on the internet? If so your isp may be doing something to make it closed vs blocked. Closed means your IP address responds to a port query, blocked means it does not respond at all (this is preferred).

I don't run any email servers, and yes the port scans I run are on the internet, every port besides port 25 says blocked, while port 25 says closed. and shields up doesn't really tell me how to address the problem, it just tells me port 25 is closed, and my ISP is ATT, am I at any risk, with is being closed instead of blocked?
