Solved To map or not to map, that is the question.
Hello all, I am trying to find a definitive answer to the question of mapping external hard drives.
I have 4 external hard drives and would like to know if there is benefit in mapping them or not. Is there benefit in speed/response etc.... I do a lot of video streaming through media centre to xbox 360.
Any advice would be greatly accepted.
Tinyman.

No benefit to mapping really, just a faster way to get to the file location. It won't make the streaming any better.
I add my extra drives to my video library so they look like one big drive.

Thankyou chev65, I wasn't sure if there was any real benefit in it or not. I used to map drives way back in '98 and ME days.
