Hi there people. I don't know if this was posted and solved way back then but I'm having this problem on my ethernet adapter. My connection just went 'limited connection' but I can browse and download on the web with ease. Also, my metro apps like mail, and news, facebook does not update, and also it's live tiles. Windows store app says it can't connect to the internet.

I'm using an Nvidia nForce ethernet built in an Asrock n68c-s ucc motherboard.
I tried to find updates for this nvidia nforce but managed to get only for windows 7. so installed it, and nothing happens. please help. thanks.

Pity, never mind - there might be one other thing you can try (I have an old ASUS motherboard that is not supported any more for Win 8) What I did was uninstall all of the drivers (Graphics / Lan ) then reboot the machine and try to let Windows update load up some generic drivers - I lost quite a bit of the "tweaking" that came with the original ASUS drivers, but at least it was stable. Not much else I can think of really!

(Another thing though - My ASUS P55 board used to show up the warning triangle and state limited connection - but as you have already said, you have no problem - mine was exactly the same, in the end, I customized the Win 8 interface - see the customize option at the bottom of the quick launch menu- you can disable the icons and messages)

I know it is nice to be able to see the status, but if it is working OK then better hide it than have that nagging yellow triangle.
