    Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 2200

I've just spend a frustrating 6 hours with support technicians for microsoft and lenovo and they have both come to the conclusion that they have no clue at all. Lenovo also decided I have my wifi password wrong after 3 hours with them bc they couldn't figure it out. Watching them fumble around my computer on remote access for 2 hours was excruciating.

The drivers at the Intel site are supposed to work but who knows.

I've spend the entire day uninstalling and installing different software and their drivers for my wireless. No luck. Is there anything else this could be?

It looks like it installs driver 15.10.0.12 now matter what I tell it to install. I've also figured out that if I uninstall it and restart it automatically has the 15.10.0.12 back on there. How do I change it?

    All I did was
    Download the file
    reboot
Uninstall my wireless adapter (same as yours, in a Y580)
Ran the execute file let it install
    Reboot.

I'm not even sure what drive I have but it works.

Can't Connect to Internet Because of Windows 8 Update

I just figured it out. I hate Comcast! Sorry but I couldn't connect after the update and after 8 hours of trolling the web on my iphone I can finally connect so I'm stoked. I called Comcast and they assured me that my connection was working and that it was a Windows 8 problem. They wanted me to buy their Signature tech support which is real rip off because they probably know exactly how to resolve the issue. I have an HP laptop btw.

Basically there is an issue with network protocols which somehow got mixed up during the update. This trick worked for the guy who posted on Yahoo answers and it worked for me. I hope it works for other people.

    1. Search for network connections
    2. View network connections
    3. Right click on wifi or ethernet depending on how you are connected.
    4. Click Properties
    4. You will see a list that says This Connection Uses the Following Items:
    5. UNCHECK EVERYTHING BUT:

    Client for Microsoft Networks
    QoS Packet Scheduler
    File and Print Sharing
    Internet Protocol Version 6
    Internet Protocol Version 4

MS needs to address this issue because ISP's like Comcast are going to charge their customers a lot of money on top of their outrageous monopolistic rates when they know the answer is so simple. Thanks to that one guy on yahoo that posted this. I really hope it works for you.

It would be nice to know if Comcast is a determining factor. However, the guy who posted the original resolution also had an HP laptop and said it was because of interfering protocols caused by Windows 8. He said he saw similar problems in Windows 98.
It's infuriating because I spent 30 minutes on hold with Comcast. The guy didn't speak good English, kept calling me Sir (I'm most definitely not a dude) and couldn't get his head set to work. Instead of unplugging the headset I basically had to repeat everything I said 10x. And Comcast expects me to pay this guy to figure it out? I told him I would cancel my service first and he started getting belligerent and hung up on me. Even though I think this is a Windows 8 issue I wind up thinking less of Comcast. MS really needs to address these updates that cause connectivity issues which make your computer useless. Lots of us are having problems and I'm sure many are giving in to Comcast and paying them to fix it. Or resetting to factory settings which I did the first time this happened which was a giant pain in the ass.

I ended up doing a re install(because I wanted to use a different hard drive) and now my original fix is not working.... I tried the other options posted but not much success. I have to reboot 2 to 3 times a day.
