Hi.

I've just upgraded to Windows 8.1 but I found a problem and I cant find a solution on the internet
I cannot connect nearly all of the desktop apps to the internet

Some apps work like Internet Explorer and Skype but the rest fail to connect - even chrome wont connect
I've played around with the internet settings with no success.
If I can't find a solution, I would have no choice but to revert back to Windows 8
Is there a way to fix this or do I have to go back to Windows 8. If this problem cant be solved, how do I go back to Windows 8.

Thanks

Hi.
I've run SFC and came up and this message came up:
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

Should I continue and use dism?

About the only other problem that causes this is the proxy settings in IE10.

1 Open Internet Explorer.

2 Press the "ALT" key to open the menu bar and click on the "Tools" menu.

3 Click "Internet Options."

4 Click on the tab labeled "Connections" and then press the "LAN settings" button.

5 Remove the check mark in the check box labeled "Use a proxy server for your LAN."

6 Click "OK." Internet Explorer is no longer using a proxy server.

This sometimes gets checked by itself.

If this isn't the problem then click on the link which shows other possible solutions.
