What in Win8 could be blocking my Xoom? It worked once!

Well the Title about says it. I have a Motorola Xoom Tablet. Now the reason I come to Win8 forum is because it (tablet) worked once (wireless transfer) and when I did a factory restore on this fairly new Win8 pc now the problem exists.

THE PROBLEM: I used to be able to connect up wirelessly from the Xoom to the Pc to transfer files with an Android program called FileManager HD. Always worked great, piece o' cake. Then the restore on the Win8 and no dice. Now the Xoom will connect up with other wireless devices, only the Win8 is blocking it.

What in the Win8 could be doing it? I have checked firewall settings, even turned it off and still wouldn't connect up. I never thought, was I supposed to reboot? Anyway, that's the deal. Any ideas why it's hung up on that? The Xoom see's it ... but when trying to transfer files it' balks.

Thanks! Jack ":-D

I have a motorola xoom too (which I must add for ipad ppl (but I think you know) was 4G one full year before apple). Why not just have a cloud drive on your xoom? I put things into the cloud and thus they are there on my four machines, 2 smartphones and my 'other' notepad too, it's like maaaagic. :)
