My Internet Connectivity Problem

So basically my next door neighbor has charter internet just like mine but the thing is that. Since he has charter with the same Fiber Optic wiring for the internet as me. My internet started to stop working for awhile and then a few seconds later it still functions correctly. A few days ago my next door neighbor with the same internet as me comes over to my house and told me about his internet is dying as well but generally what they'll do to fix the problem is resetting the router but it's a hassle to do that every time. They also told me that it happens generally every other week or so. And yes my internet does the same thing as them. My assumption is that since we both have the same internet service provider. Maybe the wiring is just getting confused or something. I'm really clueless of how this is happening. I really want to get this fixed if it is possible.
Any comments, needed pictures of internet connectivity or questions. Please do leave them down in the comments and I'll get back to you ASAP.

You might want to visit the manufacturer of your router website and check if they have any new firmware update for your router.

Well I can always check on 192.168.2.1 website page to configure my router to update it but i do have the latest version up.
I don't know if my neighbors do but I've had mine for years and my neighbors just had their internet for about 3 months.

Hmmm...maybe I should've checked my router's firmware first before making that post earlier.
For some reason when I have updated to the latest firmware. It says there's still another firmware that I can download.
But really though when I downloaded it. It's actually still the same firmware and it tells me that there is a new firmware.
I did enable the router to Auto-update firmware but it's already up to date. What now?

Maybe the firmware is currently in the router did not get updated completely and you keep getting update notification of the same version.
You could try to update the firmware manually by first downloading it from the manufacturer site then in the router, there should be an option for you to update from a file on your hard disk.
