Solved No Internet Connection

My Fujitsu Q702 laptop running Windows 8 Pro 64-bit has quit connecting to the Internet via wireless. The wireless AP is working since my wife can connect via wireless on her computer. I have run diagnostics and get this message: "Wireless hardware is not bound to the transport driver." I have no idea what this means. The network adapter shows as "working". I can connect to my local network, but I have no internet connection.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, Jim

So you have no connection and the browser doesn't seem to go anywhere yet Windows seems to think that you are online?

If you can download and run the following file it will reset everything Ip related on your system then reboot your machine automatically.

After that can you please post a screen shot of the ipconfig/all from this machine? :)

Thanks for your reply. Well, problem solved, at least for now. It was a DNS server issue. My adapter was set to NOT use DHCP for network address. That prevented selecting "automatic" for DNS server. And I had no DNS servers specified. That worked for many months. BUT, someone in a server farm probably pressed a button that caused the failure. Any, selecting "use DHCP", allowed me to select "automatc DNS", which apparently solved the problem.

Thanks, JIm

Oh ok, the ipconfig/all would have told me that but I'm glad you sorted it out.
