Solved Joining a domain

hi, on my laptop i have my microsoft account and everything set up and i have just started online schooling but when i go to the campus every few weeks i cant use their internet because i dont have a computer on their domain thing and i want to be able to join their domain but dont want it to affect my current setup

so if i connect to their domain will it modify my current account or give them access to my current accounts files???

Why not ask the Admin of the Domain what the requirements are.

They would need to add you to the Active Directory of the Domain before you can connect.

If you are worried about them accessing your files then turn off Network Discovery and File and Printer Sharing etc. in the Advanced Sharing settings.

ok i will wait til the guy who manages all there computers comes back to the campus later on this month.

so it wont affect my windows account i have now??
