I would like to be able to use a Virgin Mobile u600 3g/4g usb stick for a wireless connection for my Lenovo N580, but windows 8 is not compatible with this. Any suggestions on how to fix this situation? Thanks in advance.

Hi there
Switch OS back to W7 and Broad band to SKY - or even BT (you get FREE BT sports if you like sport). Virgin is a PAIN -- used to be the old Telewest system whose customer service was legendary bad even back in those days before fibre optic - and it hasn't got any better since either. (SKY and BT work OK with W8 BTW).

Use a website like uSWITCH or BROADBAND CHOICES choices to get much better deals than you are probably getting now. Only takes a few mouse clicks to switch.

A Brit friend explained to me that "Staying with Virgin is Injurious to your wealth".

Hi there
Not sure about the USA -- my advice was based on choices available in the UK currently.

Hi there
Not sure about the USA -- my advice was based on choices available in the UK currently. Vodafone is quite easy to set up - you can use a smartphone to provide an Internet gateway so you can connect a PC up to the internet - wifi makes it easier (and cheaper) too.
