I just bought this computer a few days ago. It is a Toshiba Satellite C885D-S5116. I'm not sure what router i have. But please help, I've tried searching for multiple things to speed up the wifi some how, but i feel like it actually made it worse. On my windows 7 laptop i could actually get like 10 mbps download speed, but now when i did a speed test i've gotten as low as .2 mbps and 70+ ping... I seriously don't know what to do anymore. My wireless adapter is a Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC. Whenever i try to update my driver, it doesn't seem to help at all saying its already the most updated. I have tried switiching to high energy performance battery. I have tried everything even trying to troubleshoot.
I have even tried ipconfig /flushdns in Cmd prompt. In cmd prompt i have also tried "netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled". I don't know what else to try anymore. I am totally out of options, and with speeds @ .2 mbps, this will definitely not work out. Someone please help!
What's even worse is when i try to watch even youtube videos it automatically puts me on 144p and then even @ 144p it has to buffer....
*Also i think this is a windows 8 Home edition
