Dear everyone,

I would like to make a folder share from a tablet with windows 8 with password protected to a laptop of windows 7 and another of vista.
I have followed the tutorial of http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/9990-file-sharing-share-stop-sharing-windows-8-a.html. My PCs have been set in the same workgroup and same user account, network discovery and file and printer sharing turned on.
At the first time, it is OK for windows 7. However after some changes of account (d
elete and create them on both windows 8 and windows 7), it doesn't work anymore with the error from windows 7 "Login failure: user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer" whenever password protected turned on in windows 8 and only OK when password turned off.

Could you give me a recommendation.
Thanks a lot.

Hi everybody,
The current status has been changed as follow (I don't know exactly what setting causes these changes):

(1) When I log in Windows 7 with the same account as in Windows 8 and even if turn on or off password protected sharing at Windows 8, the PC icon of Windows 8 in Network can be opened but its sharing folders cannot be opened from Windows 7 with the error "Windows cannot access \\<PC name>\<folder name>. You do not have permission to access \\<PC name>\<folder name>. Contact your network administrator to request access".

(2) When I log in Windows 7 with the different account from Windows 8:
- If turn on password protected sharing at Windows 8, the PC icon of Windows 8 cannot be opened from windows 7 with error "Login failure user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer"
-
If turn off password protected sharing at Windows 8, the same error as the case (1) arises

Please give me a solution to make sharing with password protected.
Thanks.
