I have an Acer IconiaTab W500 with Windows 8 developer preview installed on it and I cannot get it to connect to my Cisco 1142 APs. I have a Guest network that is for b/g speeds only and requires [WPA2][Auth(PSK)]. I type the password in and Windows comes back and says something is wrong with the adapter or the access point.
I have taken the tablet over to StarBucks and was able to connect to their wireless network easily.
Of course Acer is no help. Since it came with Windows 7, that is the only support they can offer.
I have an Atheros AR9002WB-1NG wireless adapter. I have tried to install the Win7 drivers and it will not allow the installation to run. I can see all the wireless SSID around me, including my Guest network.
I have disabled the MS Kernal Debug Netwrok Adapter. I left the MS Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter enabled.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
