hi, recently, i just changed my laptop's OS to Windows 8 from Vista. My laptop is Compaq Presario F700 and it was originally Vista. But somehow, my laptop cannot access WiFi anymore so right now im using our PC. Also, when i go to PC Settings-->Wireless it says that "No wireless devices are available". I tried downloading a wireless LAN driver in this site: [Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows 8 | HP® Support] since Compaq is also from the Hewlett-Packard Company(hp).
but after installing it, nothing changed. what should i do? i don't know much about computers so if there are infos you want to know, just ask me since i don't know what infos i should provide.
thanks in advance though. ^^

Is the wifi switch on? do you see an image of an antenna lit up in blue?

If not look for a button or switch that says wifi or has an image of an antenna..

And turn it on..

yes, it does have a switch. here's an image where it is: Untitled.jpg
if it is off, its color is amber and blue when it is on. however, even if it is switched on, it won't turn blue.
