Hi

Primary Nic's [Network interface cards] run through a switch to the router and then to the internet.
Secondary Nic's run cross~over cable pc to pc.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
Sorting out the traffic?
(proper config settings required) and (windows compatible freeware or software)

You can play around with this all you want but there is NO way the Homegroup will follow as you change between the two different networks, the workgroup may keep up, yes I've tried this before. :)

Yes probably accurate. I still have the hardware to try it some day, don't know if my idea can be implemented with my limited knowledge of networking combined with quite confusing implementation of simple function.
Default plug & play setup = crazy improper mixed traffic and uncontrollable function of network activity namely:

Unwanted traffic of LAN [crossover pc to pc without internet sharing] went through the switch instead of through crossover cable and unwanted internet traffic went through the LAN instead of through the connection to the switch>>>router
where it's meant to be by default.

This is an example of what I thought would be possible by simple plug & play.
(but as it turns out its not all that simple to implement)

PC 1
Network adapter 1 = internet.only.
Network adapter 2 = lan.only.

PC 2
Network adapter 1 = internet.only.
Network adapter 2 = lan.only.

! both adapters 1 >>>switch>>>router. [intended function: Internet]

!! both adapters 2 >>>crossover cable pc to pc. [intended function: share drive, share folder, share function, share hardware device (Enable & Disable) without affecting the other connection]

Any tutorial, advice or alternate setup method would be much appreciated.
