I up graded my computer and I intended to reinstall windows 7 on it but was forced to install windows 8...something to do with my motherboard...I basically rebuilt the whole computer keeping on a few parts from the old one such as my wireless adapter which worked fine in Windows 7 and not Windows 8. According to the Microsoft site my adapter in compatible with Windows 8.

Anyway now I have no WiFi. I get different messages from windows...
1. No networks found
or
2. Connected but limited

I have updated my adapters drivers, checked the power management tab in the adapter properties and unchecked the box allowing windows to turn the adapter off. I have a new router with the most current firmware. I also have an iPhone, a Kindle, and a laptop that all are able to connect with the router using WiFi.

Any help would be appreciated.
