Can't Connect to 2.4GHz Networks

This is a problem that has persisted under fresh installs of Windows 7 and Windows 8. My laptop (Samsung Series 9) won't connect to any network that is operating on the 2.4GHz band. It shows up as a normal network, but trying to connect always ends with the error message: "Can't connect to this network."

The WiFi card is an Intel Centrino 6300. Before someone tells me to go connect to a different network, I've already tried several.

Have you tried installing the latest Windows 8 drivers for the Intel Centrino 6300?

The latest ones are dated 1-20-13 so they are recently updated and should work for you. :)
