Solved Wi-fi unstable

Since upgrading to Win8, the wi-fi connection has been pretty unstable. It drops out while idle, ie. doing nothing apart from reading document in Adobe Reader but the network icon does not display the drop. Only when browsing the internet I realise that the internet is not working, and I have to manually disconnect/connect to get the internet back running.

It also happens when it goes into the sleep mode, when it wakes up the internet connection is not working but it does not appear so on the icon (still looks like it is working fine) but browsing internet does not work. Require manual disconnect/connect.

The network setup environment has not changed, the only change so far is upgrading to win8 so I'd appreciate if anyone can provide some solutions (apart from the "uninstall" win8 solution)
