Ok, this is my first post, hope this is the right place to post this.
I have noticed that my internet speed is very slow in Windows 8, other people have somewhat the same problem, however mine is noticeably slower. In Windows 7 I got 330Kb/s Download and 40Kb/s Upload, which is my max, but in Windows 8 I get around 50Kb/s Download and 25Kb/s Upload. (I tested with speedtest.net)
Sometimes while browsing it can get to the point of barely loading small pages.
I done a clean install of windows, and after trying to fix this and failing, I decided to do another clean install of windows in hope that it would be fixed but it did not.
My wireless adapter is a Ralink PCI Turbo wireless adapter 802.11g
When I plug my phone (HTC One X) in USB and use it as a wireless adapter (tether) the internet is fine.
Windows installed my wireless adapter drivers fine through device manager both times.
In windows 7 it was perfect and there was nothing to worry about.
I would love help with this because I really haven't a clue of what to do next, Should I revert back to windows 7 and wait till I get another wireless adapter, or is this something that could be easily solved?
