ADSL Won't Reconnect after IP change.

I have an ADSL connection (PPPoE) and my ISP has dynamic IP's, every 12 hours my connection is reset, with Windows 7 there was no problem because it just made the login again when it lost connection but with Windows 8 i can't seem to be able to do the same thing, its kind of annoying because when i leave the PC downloading something and go to work when i come back there is no connection and the download isn't finished

I've checked the "remember my credentials" box and did my connection the default one for applications, not sure what else there is to do.
I also looked for third party software to reconnect but the only one i found works only with XP.

PS. i don't own a router, just a modem.

After reading around on this PPPoE reconnection problem at TechNet, it appears as if the setting to redial when the connection is lost has been removed from Windows 8. Lots of people not too happy with this.

The best advice I could find was to install a program called Connection Keeper 11.3, is made to redial when the connection is lost or keep the connection alive when it's not being used. :)

Let me know if this works for you.

Your suggested program looked nice but sadly didn't work :(, but thanks to your idea i got an idea of what to search for and i found this little program made for Windows XP (yeah, one made for XP works better than one made for 8) it has almost no options but it does the intended job perfectly, as soon as you lose connection it starts trying to redial and won't stop until you get a connection, it only takes up 1.5 MB of memory and it a no brainer to config, the program is called CiDial (freeware) you can download it from here CiDial - CNET Download.com

Hope this helps to anybody else with this problem because it was a real headache for me :)

PS. for people wanting to add this to the startup programs just create a shortcut to CiDial and place it in
Code:
C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
