Credential Manager Help

Hi,

I have had the same home network for around 5 years now but for some random reason today, everytime I go to access a computer on the network it asks me for the username and password everytime, even though I click 'Remember my credentials'. (Image 1)

I have tried to go onto control panel - user accounts and safety - credential manager but I get an error message saying that the service could not be started. (Image 2)

I hope someone could help me.

Thanks for your reply. I have gone to do the run the System File Checker and it replies with a message saying 'Windows Resource protection could not perform the requested operation.

You should also follow the steps to make sure the service is started and set to automatic.
