Hi,
I have HP G6,windows 8 laptop.
When I am trying to add a device(first I tried adding Samsung Galaxy S Duos and then Nokia N8) and trying to pair up, I am getting a message "Passcode isn't right, try adding your device again". I tried this several times but its not working.
But again when I am trying to add older models like Micromax Q50, Nokia C2-00 it gets easily added.
Seems like compatibility issue between Windows 8 and smart phones as same thing working perfectly on java based mobile phones.

Please help.

Thanks,
Vinay

Hi Nicholas,
Thanks for your reply and sorry for replying late.
I have updated my drivers, and then my bluetooth is working fine but when I try to look for wifi devices in range,it shows me only network routers,it doesn't show any mobile or laptops in range.
Even for others too, my computer is not showing in their device list.
Please help.

Thanks,
Vinay

Hello

You need to connect to the device using Bluetooth not WiFi. Make sure the Bluetooth on device your trying to connect to is turned on as well and then pair the devices. You have to make sure the Bluetooth devices are set to "discoverable" when trying to pair so you can view them from the device your connecting from. This is Bluetooth to Bluetooth not Bluetooth to WiFi. Hope this helps.

Hi Nicholas,
Thanks for your reply.
I am able to share my files using bluetooth to bluetooth.
Same way I was trying for WiFi using my andrioid app ES file explorer of my phone and my computer.
Is it necessary to have a Wifi-router for connecting two different devices through WiFi?
Sorry, I might be asking a silly question as its first time I am using WiFi.
Thanks,
Vinay

You can connect multiple device to one WiFi router. Ands its necessary to have the router to connect too.
