Current my data drive looks like this :
My Data Drive ( shared as PC01_D to Everyone)
-Archives
-User Data
..-Mom
..-Dad
..-Public
......-Music
......-Pictures
As permissions are set to read-only for Everyone, and I can see all my data from any home network machine. I gather the subfolders inherited the right as I can see them, even though if I check Properties for any subfolder, it will show as "Not Shared" : Only the root shows as Shared, where I specified PC01_D). All this works fine for me, but I don't really want all of it shared.
QUESTION - Suppose I now truly want to 'not share' the Mom and Dad subfolders? How do I remove permissions from something that is already greyed out?? Do I have to make yet another share for the folder that I do not want to share, so I can set permissions for them so they are 'un-inherited' ??
Thanks
