I'm looking to enable remote desktop on my HTPC in windows 8 so I can use it while media center is running without disrupting the entertainment. Anyone?

I am not clear on what the problem is. What do you do, if anything, that causes the entertainment to get disrupted? What pieces of equipment are involved? How are they connected? What is the "concurrent" part. What exactly do you want to do concurrently--login as two concurrent users? Does this link help you? Here is another.

You can try using various remote support services such as logmeinrescue, gosupportnow, GoToMyPC etc. in order to establish remote connection between your home theater PC and Windows 8 computer.
