Login Failure-Android phone to Win8 server over wifi

Hello guys,

I had my phone working on my home network, but after wiping it to try a new ROM, I cannot connect back to my Win8 network.

Previously I was on a Homegroup on 5 PC's in my home... all the same local user account name and NO password.

Now I get a Login Failure message on my phone which lists some things that could be at fault, but none seem right. Ive been trying to change sharing options on my main PC to see if that helps, but it doesnt.

My phone "sees" the main computer when I do a LAN server scan, but clicking on the found server the error says it may be caused by: "WiFi is off, SMB server is out of network scope, The IP is invalid, Blocked by the firewall, SMB service is off" None of which I think are correct since I have not changed anything on the pcs up till now.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mark.

Hi there
Thanks for the answer, I am not sure I understand you. Is the allow local login on windows networking settings? I dont see it there.
I have shared my d:/mp3 and d:/videos folders, they show up on other PCs but not on my android tablet/phone.

Heeeelp....

A want All computers on my network to be able to have full permission with all the others, with no passwords or usernames, and want my phone/tablet to have read/write access to them too.

Tx
Mark.
