Laptop: Fujitsu/Siemens AMILO Pa3515 was bought with Vista.
The W8 Upgrade assistent indicated no potential problems; so I bought the W8 upgrade. Software was downloaded via wifi connection.

The upgrade to Windows 8 went flawless, the system runs great but the wifi does not work.
Device manager indicates no erros for the wifi controller (QualcommAtheros AR5007EG) but I downloaded and installed the windows8 driver (10.0.0.212) from Atheros to be sure.

Wifi cannot be activated (normally it would have been Fn-F1) but this key-combination does not react.
PC settings indicates wireless as off and I cannot switch it on.

Internet works fine via a cable but that is not how I want to use the laptop....
Please advise

Thanks Chev,
I have given the laptop back to the owner and she is ok with using a cable until the formal driver is offered by Fujitsu. If that would take (much) longer than the promised 2-3 weeks, I will pick this up again.
I'll keep you informed.
Rob
