why does it take a while to connect to another desktop?
and why i keep getting this file sharing is turned off message?
yes, i did turn off file sharing from my current pc, because i don't want to share files on it..
however, i do have sharing turned on from another pc, and i am able to connect to it, but it takes a while before i can actually start browsing the files.. (the pc will show up, but it'll say it cannot access it for a while)
with win7 i had the same settings enabled and it connected instantly and didn't give me the file sharing turned off message either.. but the desktop i'm connecting to is also win7
also, i do not like using libraries or homegroup to share or sort files..
edit:
here's what it says when i first boot up win8 and try accessing my win7 desktop:
i might have to wait 5 minutes, keep clicking the desktop icon and cancelling four or 5 times, or till windows wants to, then it'll work
this is 100% a windows 8 problem because this did not happen in windows 7 on the same computer
