By chance I right-clicked on 'My Documents' and in the 'Customize'-tab I chose Optimize this folder for: 'Documents' and checked 'Also apply this template to all subfolders'. This seems to have done the trick also. All is now in detail-view except image-folders but that works well for me...

I find it annoying when I use windows Explorer to browse my files and see folders where my files are not displayed in 'Details'-view. (Other views are: Icons, Tiles, Content etc...) How do I set up Windows 8 so that it always displays all foders in the 'Details' -view

Whow, an impressive amount of advice here. Thank you fellows! :-) I don't want to use the C:\Users\UserName\ since that contains the appdata-folder which bugs me. And I don't want to hide files since I want to be able to see what's there. What I've done this far is to use the "My Documents"...

Already got Classic shell installed which is great but irrelevant to my question. Hiding stuff is not what I want either since I like to see everything. I just want stuff to be where I would like it to be.
