I have installed the latest graphics drivers for my PC (The AMD windows 8.1 catalyst driver and latest Intel HD 3000 graphics driver) but this does not solve the problem. What exactly does the debug mode change? Also is there any easy way to access the windows boot menu w.g. debug mode/safe mode?

I can now boot into windows using debug mode however when I restart I have to go through the process of getting windows to boot into debug mode

Thanks for the suggestion, I attempted a repair and this made no difference. When I went to attempt a refresh I got the message the media inserted is not valid (relating to the bootable USB stick inserted with windows 8.1 on it) Thanks for the info Mystere I did not know that was a beta fish!

Installed 8.1 and now my pc wont boot Last night I installed windows 8.1 preview through the windows store. It all worked fine and it seemed like there was nothing wrong. When I woke up this morning my pc gets past the windows loading screen (The new fish thing looks just plain stupid) but then...
