Hmmm is hers a Samsung drive too ? I wonder ... I need to get clarification from someone that has the SanDisk sem64g installed before I format again.. This issue was present in the factory installed windows too so I think there is more too it .. The exact model number on the box is.. ME400C-1A043W

Yes I have, I have backed up the wim file on the recovery partition and after the issues with the factory install I formatted and clean installed windows 8.1 update 1

The disk dive is a Sandisk sem64g . Yeah ran live update.. bios 0609. Drivers v5.0.0 .. had live update update it's self last week. . might try a format ..but as everything is working except optimisation I'm reluctant to do it all over again.

Hmm theres definitely something wrong here then it will not optimise any of the drives..and it wouldn't before clean install.. C the recovery partition or my sd card its all greyed out.. and say optimisation not available. I dont want to defragment it at all .. I have started a new thread but...

If you click optimise it will grey out and say optimisation not available I believe. Does it tell you when your drive was last optimised if it doesn't its never run or been trimmed mate . From what I have found so far it is seen as an sdcard. Really sorry I just realised I have hi-jacked...
