Hello, little new to windows 8.1, but ive noticed my files icon pictures disappearing, first it was my malwarbytes logo, then now my utorrent logo also disappeared, as idea as to why?

I am upgrading from an activated windows 8 Pro

it says that windows failed to validate the product key, when I havnt even put the product key in yet is what im saying

my windows 8.0 is already activated, the problem is when upgrading to windows 8.1 it doesn't go to a screen where I can input the code it goes from that's straight what it goes to, theres no way for me to insert a key
