Cheers man! for some reason the Win7 disc stops fails due to conflicting programs, could I wipe the HDD first, then install?

I installed Win8 and have tried almost everything to gid rid of it.. Luckily, my HD blew last week and the one i'm using now i have all my files backed up.. I have a windows 7 disk on me, could I wipe my drive and reinstall Win7?

Hey Man, i've been trying to downgrade for the last 48hrs, just stumbled here! I entered the PowerShell under Admin, got as far as PS C:\Windows\system32> confirm-SecureBootUEFI But am faced with 7 lines of error.. Attached below.. any ideas/advice??
